Who is inHouse-Engineer?

I'm Des Menz (that's me in the header), and I've been a professional civil/municipal/environmental engineer for many years (more than I'd like to remember!); including 10 years in local government and 27 years as a sole-practitioner consultant.

Based in the Clare Valley of South Australia, I have travelled long distances intra- and inter-state for assignments.

Here's a bit more about myself.

Began career as a railway engineer in 1973
Transitioned to a municipal engineer in 1977
Various senior roles in local government engineering until 1989
Became a self-employed consultant in 1989
